These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ouiresolve.com (the "Service"), operated by OUI Resolve ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service is a free online tool that resolves MAC addresses and Organizationally Unique Identifiers (OUIs) to the organizations that registered them, and decodes structural bits of the address (such as the I/G and U/L flags). It is provided for informational and technical reference purposes.
Vendor data is derived from the public IEEE registry and other public sources, which may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors, and which change over time. Results are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Do not rely on results as the sole basis for security, legal, forensic, or operational decisions without independent verification.
Manufacturer and organization names are shown solely to identify the registered holder of an OUI, as a statement of fact. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those companies. All trademarks and trade names are the property of their respective owners.
You agree not to:
The factual vendor-assignment data is not owned by us and is not subject to our copyright. The Service's own design, layout, original text, and code are owned by OUI Resolve and may not be copied or reused without permission, except as permitted by law.
The Service relies on third-party providers (including advertising, analytics, and public vendor-lookup APIs) and may link to external sites. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
The Service is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. By using the Service you acknowledge that ads may be displayed, and that ad providers may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OUI Resolve shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service or its results, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and may update these Terms. Changes take effect when posted, indicated by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@ouiresolve.com, or via our Contact page.
